The primary responsibility of the Clinical Support Manager is ensuring organizational effectiveness by providing leadership to the clinical and administrative components of the MCI/CCS/Respite teams regarding all matters related to billing, insurance, and encounter forms. The focus is to improve the operational systems, processes, and practices in support of the programs’ goal to maximize revenue and achieve better reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning. The Clinical Support Manager works within the MCI and CCS components of the CBHC to ensure that all insurance information is entered into the EHR correctly and that billing is completed appropriately and in a timely manner. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with Third Party on Insurance Verifications, obtaining and tracking treatment authorizations (when applicable), overseeing clients’ self-pay accounts, and updating the third-party billing office of eligibility changes. The Clinical Support Manager also runs reports, including held claims and unbilled services reports weekly and oversees the rectification of any errors with the MCI/CCS leadership.  Performs other front office support tasks as needed.

 

This vital role of CSM will also be responsible for:

  • Verifies insurance coverage for new clients referred to the program and sends insurance eligibility information to the Billing Department.
  • Generates daily utilization reports and other ad-hoc reporting necessary to ensure operational efficiencies including daily encounter count data.
  • Tracks and follows up on insurance authorizations working with clinical staff to assure that necessary paperwork is submitted in a timely manner to extend treatment authorizations.
  • Processes changes in clients’ insurance eligibility by updating the Billing Department of changes and obtaining new authorizations for treatment as needed.
  • Works with clients, administrative staff, and clinical staff to resolve issues in clients’ self-pay accounts. Assists clients to complete or amend financial agreements and payments plans.
  • Answers telephones, screens and directs calls to the appropriate individuals.
  • Completes all required administrative documentation in a timely fashion and maintains consumer record files in accordance with quality assurance standards.

 

 

Schedule: Full Time

 

Pay: $26.44/ hour

Required Skills
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required.
  • Intermediate computer fluency, including Microsoft Office, required.

Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • One year experience in administrative and/or billing experience preferred.
