Community Mental Health Center SAMSHA Grant Clinician

 

This is a grant-funded position with an end date of 9/30/2023. 

 

There is a high likelihood that candidates will be able to continue working at Riverside Community Care after that date.

 

Provide Evidenced Based Treatment (EBT) for Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) Grant Program (SAMHSA) enrollees, identified as persons served who meet diagnostic criteria for the grant.  Manage documentation required for the Grant Program and Outpatient program. This clinician will provide crisis management for clients on caseload as necessary and involve families in evaluation, treatment planning and on-going treatment to the degree agreed upon with person served. While upholding constant respect and protect the Human Rights of persons served- in the program and maintain confidentiality of clinical records and privileged person served information in conformity with state and federal laws and regulations. This opportunity will also provide In-Person and TeleHealth services using video conferencing software to best serve persons served and may assess services in the community that can include home and school. 

 

In addition to; this CMHC Grant Program Clinician will:

  • Collaborate with treatment team and other providers to establish initial and periodic reviews of the treatment plan.
  • Assess disposition during treatment or as part of discharge and transition planning.
  • Provide evidenced based treatment modalities for all persons served who meet the criteria of Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED), Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and Co-Occurring Disorder (COD). Interventions include but are not limited to:  Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Trauma Informed Care.
  • Complete all clinical and administrative documentation as required by the program, funding sources and regulatory agencies in a complete, accurate and timely manner and in compliance with agency and relevant state protocols.
  • Attuned to and comfortability with all mandated reporting regulations and requirements (DCF, DPPC, DMH, Elder Protective Services).

 

Schedule: Full Time; Mon-Fri or Tues-Sat availability

 

Pay: $65,000 - $70,000/annual salary for unlicensed / initial licensed clinicians depending on productivity; $68,000 - $73,000/annual salary for independently licensed clinicians depending on productivity

Required Skills
  • Ability to multi-task, be flexible, and be comfortable adapting to programmatic and clinical changes
  • Valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle or public transportation required.
  • CANS certification or ability to become certified prior to beginning the position.

 


Required Experience
  • Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling required.
  • Independent Licensure required
  • Certification and/or previous training /experience in evidence-based practices for the treatment of trauma and/or substance use (clinician must be trained in both within 3 months of hire).
  • At least two years experience working with individuals with Co-Occurring disorders and/or Trauma Disorders, including assessment, diagnosis and counseling.
  • Familiarity with evidenced based practices applicable to Evidence Based Practices. These practices include but not limited to: CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, etc. Must meet all requirements to maintain an active professional license in the individual’s professional discipline, including, but not limited to, continuing education, ethical requirements, etc.
