Employment and Education Specialist at Horizon House

 

Horizon House is seeking an energetic, organized, self-motivated individual to join our Clubhouse community – a recovery and employment program for adults with mental illness!

 

In this important role, the Employment and Education Specialist is responsible for the coordination of the Clubhouse employment component.  The Employment and Education Specialist's primary duty would be to develop job placements in the business community.  Duties would also include engaging members in unit work, the maintenance of job placements, outreach and support services for members working in job placements, initiating and maintaining employer contacts, attendance at Advisory board and Chamber of Commerce meetings, tracking employment related statistics, co-leading employment support meetings, and being part of evening/weekend social programs.

 

Schedule: This position is primarily Monday-Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm, but does include the occasional evening, Saturday, and holiday.

 

Pay Rate: $20.91/hour

Required Skills

Required Experience
  • BA/BS and/or relevant experience preferred but not required
  • Clubhouse experience and job development experience preferred
  • Strong consideration will be given to an applicant with prior Clubhouse Model experience
