Exciting opportunity to join Riverside Community Care as a Family Support Worker!

 

The Family Support Worker is responsible for providing intensive outreach support, advocacy and treatment for 5-7 high-risk families. 

 

As a member of the clinical team, the Family Support Worker will provide support, treatment and case management services to clients and families with a focus on mentoring children and parents.

 

The Family Support Worker will:

  • provide in-home and community-based behavioral support for parents, families and youth
  • assist parents in their development as advocates for their children, including joint attendance at school or community meetings
  • help parents access appropriate outside resources
  • assist the clinical team in conducting a family needs assessment and evaluation of family stability
  • provide transportation to individuals in personal vehicle as needed

 

Must be willing to have a flexible work schedule, including some evening and weekend hours.

Required Skills
  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Basic computer fluency, including Microsoft Office, required
  • Flexible hours and the ability to work both independently and in a team are required
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
  • Must have valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for local travel

Required Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required
