Valerie Shulock, chef/owner of Basil Tree Catering, started the business in 1987. Basil Tree provides corporate drop-off catering and has a staff of 30 people. Valerie received her Bachelor’s degree in Bio-Psychology from Tufts University and her Master’s in Management of Human Services from Brandeis University. Val is a member of the advisory board for Sustainable Business Network and annually contributes 10% of Basil Tree Inc.’s profits to local charitable organizations. Valerie is committed to sustainable business practices and providing a fair, respectful, and enjoyable work environment.
